Deacon Jim assists Fr. Carmen at masses, visits sick and homebound parishioners to provide spiritual support, and leads Eucharistic Adoration. He meets with parents  for Baptismal preparation and assists with Annulment procedures.  Deacon Jim and his wife Penny are actively involved in community outreach programs such as “Landings” for returning Catholics.

Linda Meuhlen arranges for and schedules appointments for Father Carmen; Sets up and maintains pastoral files, prepares Parish correspondence, reports and memoranda emanating from Pastor; Receives, prepares and processes inquiries for Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals; Assists Pastor with all Parish activities and office tasks.

Parish Dog

Random is a sweet and lovable member of the parish.  Her ministerial work includes providing therapy dog services at nursing homes, easing the anxieties of  children during reconciliation and providing companionship to Fr. Carmen and all staff and volunteers at the parish as well as chasing away any rogue squirrels that may be on the parish grounds.

Patty Mugno is the parish Bookkeeper.  She is responsible for all financial records of our parish.  She provides appropriate and accurate accounting and business records for all sales, purchase, income and payment transactions at Holy Spirit Church.

Jessica Young is the parish Music Director.   She plans all the music that compliments all weekend Masses, Special Liturgies, Weddings, and Funerals. She is also the Director/Conductor for the Holy Spirit Church Adult Choir, and is the piano/organ accompanist and singer for both the Adult Choir, and all weekend Masses.

Barb Hissom is the Parish Secretary and Receptionist.  She directs incoming phone calls and handles most general parish activities, e.g. purchasing and updates to the parish data system.  She also prepares the weekly church bulletin and mass announcements.  She handles parishioner registration, mass intentions, and scheduling of parish facilities.  She loves to meet and greet, so come on in!

 

Bridget Farrelly
Director of Faith Formation

Bridget Farrelly handles all of our Faith Formation needs including Children's Liturgy of the Word and FF classes for Kindergarten - 8th Grade. She oversees Youth Ministry, Sacramental Preparation and Adult Faith Formation programs.  Contact her if you have questions regarding your child's religious education or if you would like to get involved and volunteer.

Father Carmen Malacari is from Utica, New York. He was ordained by Bishop Howard Hubbard at Our Lady of Angels in Albany, NY in 1993. Father has served in the Diocese of Charlotte since 1993 as parochial vicar at St. John Neuman Church, St. Patrick Cathedral and St. Matthew Church. He also served at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Syracuse, NY.

She has authority to deviate from established procedures and to bind the parish on significant non-legal matters. Kathryn’s main responsibility is to assist the Pastor.
